Who's hiring, who's laying off
Plenty of companies are hiring for real. Here are the ones posting new roles on their own job boards, next to the layoff notices employers have filed with their states.
Hiring now
Roles posted in the last 14 days on the company's own job board. "Closes in" is the median time roles stayed open before closing while we watched.
New roles appear here after our next scan of employer job boards.
Laying off
The latest WARN Act notices: employers must file them 60 days before a mass layoff or closure. Dated by notice, or by layoff date where no notice date is given.
Layoff notices load after our next scan.
Hiring figures come from the public job boards of the employers we scan, a sample weighted toward technology and security companies. Layoff notices come from WARN Feed (state WARN Act notices, CC BY 4.0), which normalizes the notices states publish; we match them to employers by name. Not every layoff requires a notice: smaller cuts and companies under 100 employees usually don't file one. Method
